Mr. Jeff Maynard - BSC

Mr. Maynard is a former CEO for a publicly traded company who first became involved with biometrics when he ran divisions that utilized biometrics in healthcare. Prior to founding BSI, he negotiated a $10M reverse merger and the sale of an electronic prescribing company for over $3M. He is a co-founder of eScript Systems™ and developed several patented biometric signature authentication inventions. He has senior management experience with two top 10 pharmaceutical companies, and was an equity partner for a software development company in predictive modelling and data mining in healthcare that later sold to a public company. He has also served as Vice President of Business Development for several publicly traded health service companies in the U.S.  Mr. Maynard has published numerous white papers on identity proofing and been a keynote speaker at multiple conferences. Through his leadership, he has guided BSI to recognition by the State of Texas as among the top 4% of companies with breakthrough technology, and earned a New Product Innovation of the Year Award from Frost and Sullivan. Most recently, the White House chose BSI technology to reduce identity fraud on the Internet from a field of 180 competing companies.  In his career, Mr. Maynard has helped to create, manage and nurture seven early stage, startup companies and has been a proven performer in developing successful products and teams in both early stage and Fortune 500 companies.



Vice President of Marketing:

Ms. Cindy Maynard - BA

Ms. Maynard is a co-founder of BSI and a veteran in creating growth and market value for five early stage and startup companies. Her expertise includes the development of marketing materials, strategic marketing plans, systems development, research, contracts, customer support and sales. Her efforts have been instrumental in driving new business and creating over 300% growth at BSI by developing and nurturing new customers. Ms. Maynard has also worked for an educational software company, The Toronto Star, Proctor and Gamble, and IBM.



Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Don Smith - CPA, BS Accounting

AS CFO for BSI, Mr. Smith provides his financial skills to the company. In the past 30 years, he has held various financial positions including Controller, Director of Finance and CFO. After leaving public accounting, Mr. Smith’s industry focus has centered on companies specializing in security, product distribution and housing. Mr. Smith has broad experience in banking relations, operational management and financial administration.



Chief Technology Architect:

Mr. Chad Steen - BS

A Dallas based professional with over 25 years as an architect, engineer, developer and consultant to various companies and NPOs, Mr. Steen was responsible for bringing several Collin Country cities and towns "online" including Wylie, Murphy, Sachse and Lucas. As a specialist, Mr. Steen has been integral to the success of over a dozen startups in the U.S. and Canada, including ISPs, retailers, wholesalers and restaurants. With a love of graphics arts united with his talents as a developer, Mr. Steen has perfected an overall skill-set ideal for UI/UX, primarily for business applications. Mr. Steen holds numerous certifications in both hardware and software including from Microsoft, Cisco, Novell, Adobe and HP. Currently, Mr. Steen is also BSI's point man for the White House sponsored NSTIC pilot "CSDII".



Chief Technology Analyst:

Mr. Ron Kerkenaar

Mr. Kerkenaar has over 30 years experience dealing with all aspects of Information Technology. Performing analysis, design, management and deployment on various sized projects ranging from individual users to multi-location large scale environments, he has been involved with software design and development, hardware, infrastructure, deployment, support, and other aspects for such companies as Royal KPN N.V., Heineken International, Pecoma Business Technology B.V., and a wide variety of smaller companies. Mr. Kerkenaar has also been in charge of building and managing  co-located off-shore servers for on-line gambling before UIGEA was enacted. Mr. Kerkenaar also never stops learning about new technologies to stay informed in this fast-paced world, and in his personal time contributes to selective open-source projects as a developer, tester, and as a project owner.



Chief Behaviorist:

Dr. Mark E. Sarver - PHD

Mark is the Chief Behaviorist for Biometric Signature ID. Prior to joining BioSig, he was the CEO of eduKan, a 6 college consortia in western Kansas for online education since 1999 serving students in 41 states. Dr. Mark Sarver has served in many capacities in higher education. Prior to eduKan, he served as Vice President for Advancement at Sterling College and Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management at Mountain State University. Dr. Sarver has taught courses in leadership, organizational behavior, accounting, international business, franchise development, marketing and management. His experience in higher education strategy and assessment spans virtually all aspects of institutional management from admissions and marketing, to financial analysis, to program and course design and assessment. His experience as an academic leader crosses publicly funded private not-for-profit and private for-profit institutions.



Director of Software Services and Support:

Mr. Mike McKay - BBA

With twenty five years of experience in Information Technology sales and services, and extensive knowledge of Professional Services, Enterprise Service Management and Infrastructure software, Mr. McKay participated in several start-up software ventures performing “crossing the chasm” of sales, marketing and professional services. Adept at defining business solutions to complex technical environments involving teambuilding, problem solving and leadership, he is skilled at building customer relationships. His experience includes partnering on high visibility projects with leading companies such as Lucent. Mr. McKay is an expert at implementing Zendesk customer service software and Salesforce CRM software for inbound marketing lead generation processes.



Director of Sales

Mr. Ryan Bench - BBA

Mr. Bench comes to BSI with an extensive background in forensic and investigative software sales geared toward public and private sector organizations. He a left and right brain thinker who solves business challenges through the use of data, technology, analytics, strategic planning and storytelling and believes sales should be an immersive experience that establishes relationships with people, fosters trust, and provides exceptional customer service. Over the years Ryan has created excellent professional relationships, friendships, and led successful teams with the utmost respect and honesty and continues to do so here at BSI.



Director of Sales

Mr. David DeShazo

Mr. DeShazo has over 20 years of direct sales leadership and experience selling clinical IT solutions and robotics within the healthcare sector. He has demonstrated a consistent track record of outstanding sales execution performance for high profile and mission-critical products and services. His desire and mission is to support my clients with relevant IT information/solutions, trusted advisory services, and a long-term mutually beneficial partnership based on trust, integrity, and high-qualilty solutions.



Marketing Specialist:

Mr. Tyler Weiland - BSC, MA

Mr. Weiland is an articulate professional with more than five years of domestic and international marketing and communications experience. Prior to joining BSI as the company’s marketing specialist, he worked extensively in a multitude of industries where he used his talents to help promote and launch several high-level products and campaigns worldwide. Having worked with numerous c-suite level executives, government officials and public influencers, Mr. Weiland excels at taking complex information, translating it into everyday language and connecting with people.



Senior Software Developer:

Mr. Christoph Aschbacher – MCTS

After graduating with an engineering degree in Software Development, Mr. Aschbacher worked on high-availability ERP Machine 2 Machine systems for the automotive industry for several years. Switching roles and becoming a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in SQL Server Database Development and Web Applications Development, he worked professionally on enterprise scale medical software, credit card payment systems and company internal frameworks. Always staying on top of technologies and practices is not only a requirement for Chris, but a passion, and he is well versed in a wide variety of programming languages, styles and practices. He focuses mostly on backend work and overall system architecture, as well as development processes and quality assurance. Mr. Aschbacher is active in, worked on, and was lead-developer on several large scale open source software projects, mostly connected to the MediaPortal HTPC ecosystem.

Ms. Brenda Garcia

Ms. Garcia has over 10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant in organizations where she contributed to company growth by executing business strategies using strong decision making abilities.  Areas of impact and contributions include:  client relations, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, staff development, customer service management, and staff/client retention.  Ms. Garcia’s organizational skills are crucial to the daily operations of BSI.

Director of Managed Care Services

Mr. David Chatham - MA

Since the 1980’s, Mr. Chatham has been involved in technology based learning.  As a pioneer in putting college courses online, he worked with faculty and administrators to develop processes to create and maintain a strong online offering to Colorado students.  For the last eleven years, David managed the learning management systems for the thirteen colleges of the Colorado Community College System.  As Dean of Academic Technology at CCCOnline, his department handled enrollment, archiving, upgrades, tier 2 helpdesk support, programming enhancements, the introduction of new technologies, and vendor relations related to online learning.  Currently, David helps other colleges and universities initiate processes utilizing the RTEN technology for monitoring student authentication.
