North Texas RCIC (NTXRCIC) to Honor BSI in Award Ceremony
The North Texas RCIC (NTXRCIC) will be holding a ceremony to honor the award given to Biometric Signature ID from the TETF (Texas Emerging Technology Fund) on Friday, April 1, 2011 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Biometric Signature is the 39th North Texas ETF company to receive funding from the state’s $200M fund. To welcome Biometric Signature to the North Texas region, guests are invited to join in the ceremony to be held at the Biometric Signature offices, 708 Valley Ridge Circle, #8, Lewisville, TX 75057. Light refreshments and lunch will be served.
BSI Recommends all Multi-Factor Authentication include “Gesture” Biometrics to Prevent Data Breaches to Existing Secure Systems for Highest Cyber Security
Biometric Signature ID believes that the next level in preventing data breaches to secure systems begins with the individual and that organizations need to add a “gesture biometric” to the “multi-factor” authentication process which focuses on “who” the person is while making sure they are authorized to use that password or token to gain access.

(BSI) announced today it is recommending that all organizations incorporate multi-factor authentication using “gesture” biometrics to obtain the level of security needed to stop unauthorized access to their systems and devices. Passwords, pins, and tokens can be easily compromised and need to be combined with a “gesture” biometric that is unique to the individual, is always with the user and cannot be lost or stolen. Recent breaches in the healthcare, government, banking, and Internet communities prove this as a necessary requirement including the breach last week at RSA where information about RSA's SecurID was compromised.

Biometric Signature ID Receives Award from the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF)
Biometric Signature ID was awarded a $550,000 investment for the commercialization of their patented identity management products as part of the TETF program developed by the State of Texas for emerging technologies.

(BSI) announced today that the patented BioSig-ID identity management solution has been selected by the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF) to receive a TETF Commercialization Award. Biometric Signature awarded piece of Texas Emerging Technologies investment
As reported by the Biometric Online News Magazine, Thirdfactor, Biometric Signature ID, a developer of signature gesture biometric technology, is one of three Texas companies has been awarded a piece of the $6.35 million investment from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF), according to a Gov Monitor article.
The TETF is a $200 million initiative created by the Texas Legislature in 2005 at the governor’s request, and reauthorized in 2007 and again in 2009.
A 17-member advisory committee of high-tech leaders, entrepreneurs and research experts reviews potential projects and recommends funding allocations to the governor, lieutenant governor and speaker of the House.
To date, the TETF has allocated more than $193.7 million in funds to 131 early stage companies, and nearly $173 million in grant matching and research superiority funds to Texas universities.
