BSI-DCLogon™
BSI-DCLogon™ is a PC-based product that controls personal device access by requiring the user to log into a Windows Domain Controller or Windows Server and is an add-on to the BioSig-ID™ suite of products.
Most often a user’s PC is left on and vulnerable to access from fellow workers or contractors. As laptops become more accessible and mobile the theft of them by criminals to be used to access personal and corporate information is on the rise. Having an encrypted database only slows down a criminal looking for access through a “back door”. The “front door” is open as passwords, pins and tokens no longer provide adequate security and are a large reason for theses types of data breaches.
Protecting the Device from Unauthorized Access
Like BioSig-ID™, the BSI-DCLogon™ solution only allows registered users who authenticate their ID, access to their PC. If the user is the wrong person, access is impossible as they cannot reproduce the rightful owners “biometric signature“. Even if the criminal has the right password, pin or token, they still are not granted access. Your biometric signature cannot be stolen, lost or borrowed.
BSI-DCLogon™ provides security for both a “connected to the network” and a local PC when not connected. The biometric profile is kept in the local registry, so the user can access their laptop while at home. Two forms of identity authentication / verification are used with this solution for maximum flexibility and protection. This option can also be used as a parental control solution.
