The BioSig-ID Online and Click-ID Online architecture consists of three (3) layers of security. During enrollment, a user enrolls in a minimum of 2 security methods consisting of a primary and alternative access method. If a user is unable to enroll in the primary access method the alternative access method defaults to become the primary and the third alternative access method becomes secondary. This provides maximum security and flexibility for users. Another benefit of this architecture is that it allows the user to re-enroll in the event they "forget" their primary access method. This closed loop acts as an automatic password reset and saves significant costs by avoiding help desk calls for password resets. Example architecture is as follows:
 BioSig-ID Online Enrollment
Initial enrollment takes only a few minutes. With BioSig-ID Online, an individual is asked to draw their unique" signature" in the box provided. This process is repeated three times to build a profile. An individual is then directed to a second layer of security called Click-ID Technology to complete the enrollment process. A third layer of security called complex security questions is available if an individual with disabilities needs this due to enrollment difficulties. An individual draws their "signature" with any characters/shapes/initials using their mouse to build a profile (this is actually a series of data bytes not an image). Writing cursive is not recommended. The profile is kept in an encrypted database and is compared to any new signature and if it falls within certain metrics the user is successfully authenticated and allowed access. Validation
After the user has enrolled they can validate against their stored profile in seconds. An individual simply logins to their account and is asked to validate their "signature" once. If their "signature" matches the enrollment profile, access is granted to the application … If validation is unsuccessful, the two other levels of security, Click-ID Technology and Complex Security Questions will be activated. Similar enrollment and validation as BioSig-ID except the user selects a series of objects and clicks on these objects in the same order from an image of your choice 3 times to create their unique profile. The alternative access method is Complex Security Questions. Sig-ID Online
Sig-ID Online does not require any enrollment as the signature is not authenticated or verified. A user simply leaves their "mark" in the signature box. |
