1. What is a Biometric Signature?
Answer: Biometric Signature refers to automatic recognition of people based on their distinctive anatomical
(e.g. face, fingerprint, iris, hand geometry) and behavioral (e.g. signature, gait) characteristics. Biometrics are being
sought out as the new personal identification solution.
2. What is the difference between "static" and "dynamic" Biometric Signature?
Answer: "Static" Biometric Signature refers to biometrics that do not change over time
(e.g. iris, retina, face and fingerprint)
while "dynamic" Biometric Signature does change over time (e.g. human signatures).
3. What happen if I can not sign in using BioSig-ID?
Answer: You will be asked to validate using our newest technology called
Point and Click Image Technology (PCI). This is an alternative access method, which allows
the user to validate against their stored profile using PCI.
If you are successfully validated, you are directed to the BioSig-ID signature profile and
asked to re-enroll your profile. In this way the user avoids a very costly help desk call
saving the organization significant resources.
4. Can I use any computer mouse with BioSig-ID technology?
Answer: Our studies indicate that all computer mice can be used.
Although we would recommend using PS/2 or USB mice.
5. Can I use dot(.) and slashes(/) or geometric shapes in my signature?
Answer: We do not recommend geometric shapes, dot(.) or slashes(/) as the main "signature" due to reduced security.
6. How many characters or initials are ideal for my signature profile?
Answer: We recommend a minimum of three, ideal would be four.
These characters/shapes/initials should be separate instead of one continuous line.
7. Can I write my name cursive?
Answer: It is difficult to write your name cursive using just a mouse,
unless you are highly skilled. Our solution considers "How" you write as
the most important biometric metric, not "What" you write.
8. What happens if I get a message "Connection timed out"?
Answer: Server may have some technical issues, please sign in again or contact the administrator.
9. Does your solution use two authentication methods?
Answer: Yes, at least two factors (BioSig-ID and PCI) must be used. This is unique.
